Victory was one of the first rides available. In the Alpha version of the game it was presented as a thrill ride. In the Beta version its design was changed with larger sails and with a more ornate ship with a mermaid figurehead, torches and turned into a gentle ride. In this guise its excitement ratings are quite low, but by adding more swings to its ride animation, you can increase its reputation and popularity. It fits in well with pirate scenery, but can also be added to fairy tale and other themes.
Victory is based on classic swinging ship rides. These dated back to 1897 in circuses in Oklahoma. Since then they have become a staple for many theme parks. The originals were mostly based on pirate ships, but other designs were soon created, including sci-fi spaceships and Viking longboats.
