The mechanic is an NPC which, along with the Janitor and Security, maintains the park.
The mechanic will fix broken rides, inspect rides, refurbish rides, and fix vandalized objects.
Appearance[]
The appearance of a mechanic is fixed. He will always be a mid-aged male with brown hair. He carries around his toolbox. He wears an orange suit with a toolbelt, hardhat, and you can slightly see a white shirt underneath his orange suit if you look at his neck.
Tasks[]
This is the list of tasks a default mechanic will do:
- Inspect
- Refurbish
- Fix breakdown
- Fix vandalism object
- Inspect vending machines
- Fix broken vending machines
Much like other staff, the player can select which task(s) a mechanic will do, and their work roster.
Training[]
Training the mechanic makes his inspections better. When the mechanic inspects a roller coaster the wear and tear status bar will go up, making a break-down less likely to happen.
Training Levels:
- Trainee
- Capable - Training costs $290.
- Skilled - Training costs $302.5
- Expert - Training costs $315.
- Master - Training costs $327.5.
Here is the approximate amount of the wear and tear bar the mechanic will increase on inspection for each training level:
- Trainee: 17%
- Capable: 19%
- Skilled: 21%
- Expert: 23%
- Master: 25%
